“The Art of Glamping” - Gage Outdoor Expeditions

You have heard the term Glamping, but you are not sure what it means?

The word is short for glamorous camping, “Glamping” is like traditional camping in many ways: You sleep surrounded by the great outdoors, typically with stunning views and wildlife right at your doorstep. The secret is in choosing a ranch that accommodates you in luxury, while allowing you to “ glamp”.

Glamping

The way we travel post-Covid is changing, many of us want to craft our travel experiences into more than just a sightseeing adventure.  We want to “feel and see” Nature on our terms, enjoy the local cultural feel, and we want to live in the outdoor experience.  Glamping is the fusion of glamour and camping, a way to authentically experience the most awe-inspiring locales in the USA and even around the world.

The glamping movement is growing, and locations are being developed where you can make your stay in renovated Covered Wagons, a canvas tent like the ones used on Safaris in Africa for many years, or in a combo tent/cabin which keeps the snow and cold at bay. Some locations even have treehouses.

Glamping

Glamping is becoming a popular phenomenon, in the U.S., you will find options from Maine to Alaska, but most of the top glamping locales are out west. Gone is foraging for firewood, pitching a tent, resting in a sleeping bag on hard ground, or giving up creature comforts. Instead, you will sleep in a luxurious bed, have a real bathroom, and flip on the lights plus heating/cooling when you want.

You will not have to cook. Glamping with us is like staying at a full-service resort, with on-site restaurants, a well-stocked bar, outdoor dining areas surrounding the campfire, packed picnic lunches. The only cooking left for you is roasting s’mores over the fire.

While we can’t take credit for Montana’s scenery, the wilderness glamping experience enhances our ability to appreciate and reflect upon it – whether you’re sipping your afternoon coffee while watching eagles alight on our cottonwoods or enjoying a steamy hot cedar soaking tub underneath a glistening nightscape. We call our Ranch glamping structures, “canvas cabins,” and they were designed to be easily removed and have minimal impact on the environment, providing a highly sustainable way to travel.

We also offer the unique Homesteader wagons as glamping accommodations during summer vacations. Adding a wagon allows you to welcome more people on your group vacation or provide a private space for teens, couples or families who would delight in a private and unique space closer to nature. Kids enjoy nights “camping out” under canvas. Each wagon features a king bed and twin bunks. Amenities include twice-daily housekeeping services and snacks and beverages, on-hand and restocked daily. Adventurous travelers will love this opportunity to channel the pioneer experience—the perfect place for American dreaming.

We offer the glamping experience year around. You can come with your spouse or bring the whole family.
